Caught Wil flying in front of the bathroom mirror this morning. Wonder if he realizes who that little dude in the mirror is. #superwil

Getting my kids to focus on their homework is not easy. Wil buzzing around their heads does not seem to be helping the problem. #wilcanfly #downsyndromeawareness #downsyndrome

Wil doesn't have much use for slides but never ceases to provide support for others who are limited by gravity. #wilcanfly #bringinglight #downsyndrome #downsyndromeawareness

Took Wil running for the first time this weekend. He's not the best pacer but it definitely beats pushing a stroller. #downsyndrome #downsyndromeawareness #wilcanfly

Throwback to Fall. Wil kept sneaking out in the evenings to buzz through the cornfields before bed. #tbt #wilcanfly #downsyndrome #downsyndromeawareness

Some of my favorite photos I took last year were the ones of Wil flying. I started shooting a few of these in September and October but dropped off as work and other distractions diverted my attention. These photos of Wil flying have taken on a special meaning for me as I think about the unique challenges Wil is going to face growing up. I hope to teach him that even with his disabilities he can do anything he puts his mind to. I look forward to a few personal photo projects in 2015 but I am definitely looking forward to doing more of these. #superwil #downsydromeawareness
